Martien Schaub completed her legal studies in Nijmegen. Her Phd on legal aspects of e-commerce was written at the University of Twente in the field of management studies. After a short period of consulting on IT and law, she was an assistant professor at the Molengraaff Institute for private law of Utrecht University for several years. She holds her position at the VU since august 2012.
Consumer law, Contract law, Law of obligations in historical and European perspective
Martien Schaub’s research activities focus on consumer law and contract law. Within these topics, she has a special interest in the European influences on national law.
