Curriculum vitae
Bernadette van Leeuwen is assistant professor in company law at the faculty of law. She studies law in Rotterdam (Erasmus University). She became a university teacher private law at the University of Maastricht. She wrote her PhD (finished 1990) on principles of business judgment, a case law study. She was in private practice with Loeff Rotterdam (1990-1994) and with lawyers offices related to PricewaterhouseCoopers Amsterdam  (1994-2002). In 2002 she started to work as an in house lawyer at PricewaterhouseCoopers. After writing a handbook for in house lawyers  on non-legal aspects of giving internal legal advice (Kluwer, 2009), Bernadette started her own advisory bureau on law department consultancy, JuristvandeZaak. She picked university teaching again because she wants to learn students about law practice. 

Educational activities
She teaches the course on International Company law (part of the master International Business Law) and Partnerships and legal forms law  during Bachelorfase.
